Demo Day 52 - Back to Basics


After the collectathon experiment of the last demo I decided to go back to the linear levels. The rescue mechanic is still in but every level now has only one buddy that will follow you to the level exit.

Changelog:

  • tweaked physics to be snappier
  • new artstyle for tiles, this one's final
  • 8 new/overhauled levels
  • different biomes
  • bouncy mushrooms
  • ice physics
  • particles when breaking objects
  • new enemies, both ant variants
  • crates and lanterns are now solid
  • rebind menu now has a save option instead of saving changes immediately
  • still no music lol

known bugs:

  • fullscreen scaling is broken when changing aspect ratio, will work after relaunching the game though
  • inputs in the rebind menu are in random order
  • the game can crash in some rare situations
